Pere Ventura Family Estates, in the Top Ten for the DO Cava, DO Penedès and DOQ Priorat by Decanter
Gold for Pere Ventura Vintage 2012 and Merum Priorati Destí 2015
The annual Decanter World Wine Awards have positioned our Premium wines and cavas in the Top Ten for the DO Cava, DO Penedès and DOQ Priorat. Last week tasting scores were announced and the Pere Ventura, Merum Priorati and Can Bas Domini Vinícola wineries have been awarded.
Pere Ventura Vintage Gran Reserva Brut 2012 has been awarded with a Gold Medal obtaining 95 points. Renown also Pere Ventura Vintage Rosé 2012 with a Silver Medal.
Decanter’s panel of taste describes Pere Ventura Vintage 2012 as “lovely lemon tartness to the nose, silky palate structure, fine bubbles and complex notes of brioche, orange marmalade and lemon, deliciously full bodied right through the long finish”.
Gold for Merum Priorati Destí 2015, with a top score of 96 points. Our Priorat wine has been described as “beautiful, complex nose of spiced plums and blackcurrant with hints of liquorice. The palate has beautiful fragrant brambly and cassis fruit with loads of dense chocolate overtones”.
This great results come a few days after Merum Priorati Inici 2015 has also received a Gold Medal in the 25th Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, the world’s most important competition by volume of samples sent and the only one that makes quality controls of the winning wines.
Can Bas La Creu 2016 has obtained a Silver Medal with 90 points, top score for DO Penedès.
