PERE VENTURA official sponsor of the Barcelona-Sitges International Vintage Car Rally 2022
PERE VENTURA will participate for the first time in the Rally route with its 1920s-style Fleur de Lys vintage van
The 64th edition of the Barcelona-Sitges International Vintage Car Rally will be held on March 19 and 20 by Foment de Sitges, in collaboration with the city councils of Sitges and Barcelona.
Once again, the high-end cava-producing winery PERE VENTURA participates as a sponsor and will be the official sparkling wine of the International Rally. This year PERE VENTURA celebrates 15 years supporting this automobile event with the longest tradition and great historical and cultural value in our country.
One of the novelties of this edition will be the participation in the Rally route of the PERE VENTURA 1920’s vintage van owned by the winery.
The vehicle, which is the Fleur de Lys model, was built in England in 1985 by the company Fleur de Lys Automobile Manufacturing Limited using mechanics from the Ford Transit of the gasoline era with overhead valves, four cylinders and 1,978 cubic centimeters that it gave 75 horsepower. The gearbox is a four-speed manual.
Both PERE VENTURA van and the fleet of PERE VENTURA personalized Mini cars will also be in the Parc Fermé that will be located outside L’illa Diagonal shopping center during the verification of the participating vehicles on Saturday 19th and on the same Sunday in Plaça de la Fragata in Sitges, once all the participating vehicles had arrived.
The Rally organizes several events throughout the weekend, among which PERE VENTURA as sponsor will be the cava that will be served in all gastronomic events as well as in the Awards ceremony for the winners of the Rally and the special delivery of the Prize to the participant with the most glamorous and original vintage costume.
The Barcelona – Sitges International Vintage Car Rally has been declared a National Tourist Interest Festival, and will convene nearly a hundred units that each year attract the attention of thousands of fans and onlookers, who gather along its entire route to see authentic automotive jewels parade, with their occupants properly dressed in vintage costumes.
