The most important Spanish Wine Guide Guía Peñín hosts today in the capital of Catalonia, Barcelona, one of the most important professional wine events from 2018. ‘El Salón de las Estrellas’ is a unique opportunity for the wine trade to discover an exceptional wine selection of wines, exclusively prepared by Guía Peñín’s tasting team. They are responsible for the greatest Spanish wine tasting, with more than 12.000 Spanish references in their portfolio every year.
Among those wines, Guia Peñín selects a short group of products, those that are considered the best value for money. Pere Ventura Cuvée Maria del Mar GR 2014 Brut has been shortlisted for the first time in this special list, and additionally rated with 93 points at Guía Peñín 2018.
Pere Ventura Cuvée Maria del Mar 2014 is a very rare cupage of Xarel·lo and Chardonnay white grapes, entirely created by Pere Ventura’s winemaker Sebastià Galimany, with the particularity that a small part of the Chardonnay from Pere Ventura Estate has been kept in different French oak barrels between 1 and 5 years. This unique process makes Cuvée Maria del Mar one of its kind.
