Improving the last vintage score of 95 points

The Mervm Priorati El Cel 2020 wine, produced by Pere Ventura at the winery located in the town of Porrera in Priorat, has obtained 96 out of 100 points in the tasting conducted by the prestigious American magazine Wine Spectator, a worldwide reference in the world of wines. This new score improves upon the previous vintage, in which El Cel achieved 95 points.

With this new score, Mervm Priorati El Cel 2020 ranks second among wineries from the DOQ Priorat, according to the ranking compiled by Wine Spectator, competing with highly prestigious and internationally recognized wineries such as Álvaro Palacios, Clos Mogador, and Celler Mas Doix.

In addition to this result, the scores awarded by the Wine Spectator team to wines from the same winery should also be noted: Mervm Priorati Destí 2020 with 94 points and Mervm Priorati Inici 2020 with 91 points. The wines from Pere Ventura’s winery currently boast more than 60 national and international awards and recognitions.

Among this trajectory of accolades, it is worth highlighting the Platinum award from Decanter for the same wine and the one achieved with the Mervm Priorati Destí 2018 wine, which was chosen as the 4th Best Wine in the World in 2021.
