PERE VENTURA WINERY AWARDED WITH BEST EXPORT ACTIVITY IN SPAIN
Recognitioned by Premios Empresariales de Mercados del Vino y la Distribución
Pere Ventura has been acclaimed as the winner of the prestigious award for Best Export Activity in Spain, in the international expansion of its wines, in a ceremony held on April 4th at the headquarters of the presidency of the Community of Madrid.
The recognition, granted by the jury of the Wine and Distribution Markets Business Awards, organized by the leading wine sector publication Contenidos Económicos Verticales, highlights Pere Ventura’s commitment and excellence in the international expansion of their cavas, available in more than 55 countries around the world.
Pere Ventura i Vendrell, renowned entrepreneur and owner of the PERE VENTURA winery, collected the award personally at the hands of Nicholas Hammeken, owner, founder, and Director of Innovation of Hammeken Cellars.
The awards ceremony was attended by Ángel Enrique de Oteo Mancebo, General Manager of Agriculture and Food of the Community of Madrid, and José Miguel Herrero, General Manager of Food Industry of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fish and Food.
The jury, composed of prominent representatives of associations and entrepreneurs in the food production and distribution sector, highlighted the persistent export-oriented approach that has characterized Pere Ventura since its foundation in 1991. In a close competition with other prestigious wineries such as Bodegas Marqués de Riscal and Bodegas Torre Oria, Pere Ventura demonstrated its excellence and leadership in the international wine market.
The Wine and Distribution Markets Business Awards, in its 17th edition, recognize not only excellence in export but also the contribution of Spanish producers and distributors to economic development, innovation, and the promotion of wine tourism. These awards have become an essential reference in the value chain of the wine sector, gaining respect and recognition in all sectors involved.
This latest recognition for Pere Ventura adds to the long list of over 200 awards that have been granted to the winery and its cavas both nationally and internationally. Thus, in 2019 Pere Ventura was distinguished as one of the Top 100 Wineries in the World by the prestigious American publication Wines & Spirits, being the only Spanish wine producer selected in this prestigious ranking.
