The yield from these old vines is well below average and the fruiting grape is of extraordinary quality. The deep respect for the peasant farmers we have in Can Bas has led us to name one of the better located plots of Cabernet Sauvignon — and the wine borne out if it — with the surname of the family of peasants which worked our land for over a century. Their hardworking approach is an example for us.

MONREAL 2014 has a cherry colour and is complex, warm and supple. It has aromas of fresh ripe fruit such as plumbs and red currant and balsamic, smoky and spicy notes from its aging in French oak. The palate is persistent, complex and structured, with ripe and juicy tannins. MONREAL 2014 has a great cellaring potential.
Food pairing
Ideal for accompanying red meat, duck and all kinds of stews. Also pairs with smoked meats, reserve cheeses and with truffle dishes.
We recommend serving it at 16-17ºC.
The grapes which we produce this wine come from an old low-yield Xarel·lo vineyard. This vineyard is named LA ROMANA due to the Roman remains located nearby: the Via Augusta and a prosperous villa which thrived in time of the Empire.

Clear and warm yellow in colour, this wine has an intense nose, with aromas of ripe peach and toasted backbone with hints of vanilla. The palate is rich and elegant with an ethereal finish.

LA CAPELLA (The chapel in Catalan) is named after an old Cabernet Sauvignon vine planted in Can Bas over twenty years ago. This vine extends around the medieval chapel of San Juan Salerm, which gives it its name.

LA CAPELLA has a cherry colour, tinged with gold reflections and that bluish spark given by Syrah’s skin. It has fruit aromas under a layer of vanilla, co ee, spices and ceddar. Its palate has a balanced combination between freshness and acidity, wrapped in a velvety texture

Pairs nicely with roast duck and beef tenderloin. We recommend serving it at 16-17ºC.
La Creu (the cross in Catalan) receives its name from one of the symbols that best identifies Can Bas: the cross, a convergence between man, land, heritage and our wines. lt is made by assemblin the variety grown in this plot with our best Xarel·lo.

With a lustrous golden colour with green and ocher reflections, this wine offers white flower and tropical fruit aromas such as as peach and lychee. lt has an intense, fresh and balanced palate with a lingering mineral backnote.

Tasting notes
Brilliant, clean, and cherry red in color with a cardinal-red rim. The nose is rich with red fruit, bringing raspberries and red currants to mind, with notes of aniseed. Fresh and fruity on entry, red fruit once again comes to the fore, this time blended with echoes of vanilla from its brief stint in oak. It is well balanced and its mature, velvety tannins usher in a long, elegant finish.
Food pairing
Its striking freshness and medium aromatic intensity make INICI 2015 the perfect wine to accompany partridge with truffles and wild mushrooms, duck breast with sweet potato and grape sauce, a selection of artisan cheeses.

Uncork and decant about two hours before drinking. Best served at 15 to 17 ºC.
Storing
We recommend INICI 2015 to be stored horizontally and in a place with constant temperature and humidity, avoiding direct lighting. It has a potential ageing in bottle for up to five years. Time will enhance the roundness of the wine and its velvety palate.

Intense dark-cherry red in color with a garnet rim. Complex on the nose with aromatic notes of red fruit, especially raspberries and redcurrants, balanced by spicy tones against a backdrop of cassis. It has a balsamic taste across the palate, with hints of sloes and pomegranates. Elegant and silky, it is well balanced with sweet, rounded tannins that lead to a smooth, lingering finish.

The sweet quality to DESTÍ 2015 is the perfect match for lean dishes such as potted lobster or roasted turbot with potato gratin and cured ham. It is also ideal for accompanying grilled red meat basted with aromatic herbs.

Uncork and decant about two hours before drinking. Best served at 15 to 17 ºC.
Storing
We recommend this wine to be storage in a ventilated space, without direct light onto the bottle and with a constant temperature of between 10 and 17 ° C. The bottle should be placed horizontal to ensure cork moisture. DESTÍ 2015 will become more complex over time and can age easily for up to ten years.

It has aromas of dark fruit such as wild berries, blackberries and plums, together with expressive flavors from its oak ageing: chocolate, truffle and black licorice. It unfolds in powerful, complex fashion, and its silky tannins ensure a long, elegant finish.

An intense, full-bodied wine like EL CEL 2015 calls for complex game dishes with plenty of fat, such as jugged hare with vegetable and herb marinade, suckling-pig or venison tenderloin with pomegranate sauce.

Storing
EL CEL 2015 has to be kept horizontally so that the cork is at all times moisture. Humidity must be constant and not less than 70% in a well-ventilated basement or underground cellar. The temperature must range between 10 and 17ºC to ensure optimum aging for a period of up to fifteen years.
